About Eco-Logic
After a culmination of twenty years of various building experiences, Eco Logic Construction & Design was founded by Erik Eitel in 1998.
Erik began at a young age working as a masons helper, then mastered the craft of finish carpentry and continued on to be a general building contractor, becoming licensed in the State of California in 1998.
Erik’s first green project took place in North Carolina and North Georgia over 15 years ago. Eric teamed up with John Clark (master crafts man) to build the first house in the state of Georgia that is completely powered with alternative energy. Reported on by CNN in 1993, this home is complete with all the modern conveniences and utilized passive solar design, alternative and renewable resources, and featured a spring fed hydropower system for electricity. Erik built several “Eco homes” with John Clark.
With years of diverse building experience behind him, Erik settled in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1997. After project managing high end Victorian remodels for NOVA Designs, Erik branched out on his own to start Eitel Construction, Inc. in 1998 & merged into Eco Logic, a small family run contracting business which has specialized in new home construction, new additions, residential remodels, seismic retrofits, tenant improvements and restaurant build outs in the San Francisco Bay Area.
